Map each source to the exact Notion database and properties you want

A macOS menu bar app that moves your data from sources like reMarkable, Twitter, and Notion into the tools you work in: Notion, Linear, Google Docs, Apple Notes, or Markdown files. No servers, no accounts. Your data stays on your Mac and your iCloud.

Sync Bar takes your data from the places it piles up, your reMarkable, your Twitter, your Notion, and puts it where you actually work. It runs in your Mac's menu bar, and it does it without sending your data to anyone.

From any source to where you work

Pick a source, choose where its items should go, and you're done. Sync Bar reads each new item and writes it to your destination on the schedule you choose. reMarkable pages are transcribed to text, and posts and pages come across as clean content. Notion is a full destination, whether you want a new page per item or rows in a database.

Sources and destinations

Sources include reMarkable, Twitter, and Notion, with more on the way. Destinations include Notion, Linear, Google Docs, Apple Notes, and folders of Markdown files. One source can go to several destinations at once. Connected services like Notion, Linear, Google, and Twitter sign in with a quick OAuth step. Apple Notes and Markdown work right on your Mac with nothing to set up.

Your data never leaves your control

There are no Strategic Nerds servers in the middle. There is no email login and no account to create. It is just your Mac, your iCloud, and the places you connect. Items go straight from the source to the destination you chose, and your sign-ins stay in your Mac's Keychain.

We never see your data, or you

We have no servers that touch your data and no account system. We never see what you move, and we have no idea who you are. By default, reMarkable transcription runs on your Mac with Apple Vision, so your handwriting never leaves your computer. Sync Bar collects anonymous app-health metrics to fix bugs and improve the app, never your data or your identity, and you can turn that off in Settings.

Your rules, your schedule

Choose how each source is titled, how often Sync Bar checks for new items, and where they land. Sync Bar only moves items that have changed since the last run, so you never get duplicates. For Notion, you can map each source to the exact database and properties you want.
