Privacy policy

This is a personal website and blog. I am not trying to harvest your data or sell it to anyone. Here is what actually happens when you visit this site.

What I collect

First-party analytics can run without the banner: PostHog (through this site's own /ingest path), Vercel Analytics, and Google Analytics 4. Marketing pixels stay off until you accept. The default is denied. If you accept, I also load the existing Meta Pixel (ID 1231016725771686), Google Tag Manager (GTM-59HF9Q84), and the OpenAI ads pixel. That is the same stack the site already had. This page does not add a second pixel or a second container.

PostHog collects anonymous usage data such as page views, button clicks, and feature interactions. Session recording is disabled. No personal information is stored unless you voluntarily provide it (for example, by completing a purchase).

If you sign up for the newsletter, I collect your email address and, if you give them, your name. That is it. I use it to send you the newsletter, and you can unsubscribe at any time. If you buy something, I also use your email address to send you a receipt and whatever you purchased.

Cookies

First-party analytics cookies can be set without the banner. After you accept, this site may also set advertising measurement cookies (including Meta). It stores a consent choice (sn_consent) and, after that grant, a first-party attribution cookie (sn_attribution) for 90 days. That cookie holds first-touch and last-touch campaign parameters such as utm_source, fbclid, and gclid so later checkouts and the contact path can carry them. If you decline, those marketing cookies are not set and the advertising pixels do not load.

Your browser still lets you block cookies. Stripe checkout and the pages themselves work without the marketing cookies.

Third-party services

This site relies on a few third-party services:

  • Google Analytics 4 for first-party site analytics
  • Google Tag Manager (GTM-59HF9Q84) for advertising tags, only after you accept
  • Meta Pixel and Conversions API for advertising measurement, only after you accept. Ads are not running from this change alone.
  • OpenAI ads pixel for advertising measurement, only after you accept
  • PostHog for first-party product analytics, through this site's /ingest path
  • beehiiv for email newsletter delivery
  • Resend for receipts and other transactional email
  • Vercel for hosting and performance monitoring

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. I chose them because they are reputable and widely trusted.

I do not sell your data

I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. Period.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If I change this policy, I will update the date at the top of this page. For any significant changes, I will note it on the site.
