Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Conjugator, you agree to these terms.

Description of service

Conjugator is a language learning application that provides real-time translation, verb conjugation, and personalized lessons across web, iOS, and macOS platforms. The service uses a credit-based system for AI-powered features.

Account registration

To use Conjugator, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

Credit system

Conjugator uses a credit system for AI-powered features. New accounts receive 20 free credits. Additional credits can be purchased through the web app (via Stripe) or native apps (via Apple In-App Purchase). Credits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Current credit costs:

• Conjugation: 1 credit
• Translation: 1 credit
• Lesson generation: 1 credit

Credit costs are subject to change. Any changes will be reflected in the app before you use credits.

User content

You retain ownership of all text you input for translation or conjugation. By using the service, you grant Conjugator a limited license to process your input text for the purpose of providing translations, conjugations, and personalized lessons.

Your translation and conjugation history is used to generate personalized learning content. This data is not shared with other users or third parties beyond what is necessary to provide the service (such as sending text to OpenAI for processing).

Acceptable use

You may not use Conjugator to:

• Attempt to access other users' data
• Reverse-engineer or extract the AI models or prompts
• Use automated tools to make excessive API requests
• Upload inappropriate or illegal content as avatar images
• Resell or redistribute the service

Intellectual property

The Conjugator application, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Strategic Nerds, Inc. AI-generated translations and conjugations are provided for personal use.

Third-party services

Conjugator relies on third-party services including Supabase, OpenAI, Stripe, and Apple. Your use of Conjugator is also subject to the terms of these services. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party services.

No warranty

Conjugator is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• The accuracy of translations or conjugations
• Continuous, uninterrupted availability
• That AI-generated lesson content will be error-free
• Compatibility with all devices or operating systems

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Strategic Nerds, Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Conjugator. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for credits in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Data retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data (profile, translations, conjugations, lesson cards, avatar) is permanently deleted.

Updates and modifications

We may update Conjugator and these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email.

Termination

You may stop using Conjugator at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States.
