Meeting Notifier

Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using Meeting Notifier, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

License grant

Strategic Nerds grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Meeting Notifier on your Mac for personal or business purposes.

Description of service

Meeting Notifier is a macOS menu bar application that alerts you to upcoming calendar events from Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook. The application connects directly to your calendar provider using OAuth and processes all data locally on your Mac.

User responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Authorizing the application with your calendar provider
  • Using the application in compliance with Google's and Microsoft's terms of service
  • Ensuring your Mac meets the minimum system requirements
  • Maintaining the security of your device

Authentication and authorization

Meeting Notifier uses OAuth 2.0 to authenticate with Google and Microsoft. This means:

  • You authorize access directly with your calendar provider
  • We never see or store your account password
  • You can revoke access at any time through your provider's security settings

No warranty

Meeting Notifier is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the application will be error-free, secure, or continuously available.

We make no warranties regarding:

  • The accuracy or timeliness of meeting notifications
  • Uninterrupted access to calendar services
  • Compatibility with all calendar configurations or future API changes

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Strategic Nerds is not liable for any damages arising from your use of Meeting Notifier, including but not limited to:

  • Missed or delayed meeting notifications
  • Service interruptions
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Third-party services

Meeting Notifier connects to Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook. We are not responsible for:

  • Their availability, functionality, or API changes
  • Their data handling practices
  • Any changes to their terms of service

You must comply with Google's and Microsoft's terms of service when using Meeting Notifier.

Updates and modifications

We may update Meeting Notifier from time to time to add features, fix bugs, or adapt to API changes. We may also modify these terms. Continued use of the application after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Termination

You may stop using Meeting Notifier at any time by:

  • Revoking access through Google or Microsoft account settings
  • Uninstalling the application

We may discontinue the application or restrict your access if you violate these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the United States.
