By downloading, installing, or using Mail Notifier, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

License grant

Strategic Nerds grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Mail Notifier on your Mac for personal or business purposes.

Description of service

Mail Notifier is a macOS menu bar application that alerts you to new emails from Gmail and Microsoft accounts. The application connects directly to your email provider using OAuth and processes all data locally on your Mac.

User responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Authorizing the application with your email provider
Using the application in compliance with Google's and Microsoft's terms of service
Ensuring your Mac meets the minimum system requirements
Maintaining the security of your device

Authentication and authorization

Mail Notifier uses OAuth 2.0 to authenticate with Gmail and Microsoft. This means:

You authorize access directly with your email provider
We never see or store your email password
You can revoke access at any time through your provider's security settings

No warranty

Mail Notifier is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the application will be error-free, secure, or continuously available.

We make no warranties regarding:

The accuracy or timeliness of email notifications
Uninterrupted access to email services
Compatibility with all email configurations or future API changes

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Strategic Nerds is not liable for any damages arising from your use of Mail Notifier, including but not limited to:

Missed or delayed email notifications
Service interruptions
Unauthorized access to your email (beyond our control)
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Third-party services

Mail Notifier connects to Gmail (Google) and Microsoft Outlook. We are not responsible for:

Their availability, functionality, or API changes
Their data handling practices
Any changes to their terms of service

You must comply with Google's and Microsoft's terms of service when using Mail Notifier.

Updates and modifications

We may update Mail Notifier from time to time to add features, fix bugs, or adapt to API changes. We may also modify these terms. Continued use of the application after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Termination

You may stop using Mail Notifier at any time by:

Revoking access through Google or Microsoft account settings

Uninstalling the application

We may discontinue the application or restrict your access if you violate these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the United States.
