By downloading, installing, or using LinearBar, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

License grant

Strategic Nerds grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use LinearBar on your Mac for personal or business purposes.

Description of service

LinearBar is a macOS menu bar application that displays your Linear issues and notifications. The application connects directly to Linear's API and processes all data locally on your Mac.

User responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the security of your Linear API credentials
Using the application in compliance with Linear's terms of service
Ensuring your Mac meets the minimum system requirements
Any actions taken through the application on your Linear account

Credential management

You are solely responsible for safeguarding your Linear API credentials. We do not store or transmit your credentials to our servers. Your credentials are stored in your Mac's Keychain.

No warranty

LinearBar is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the application will be error-free, secure, or continuously available.

We make no warranties regarding:

The accuracy or timeliness of data from Linear
Uninterrupted access to Linear's services
Compatibility with all Linear features or future API changes

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Strategic Nerds is not liable for any damages arising from your use of LinearBar, including but not limited to:

Data loss or corruption
Service interruptions
Actions taken on your Linear account through the application
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Third-party services

LinearBar connects to Linear (linear.app). We are not responsible for:

Linear's availability, functionality, or API changes
Linear's data handling practices
Any changes to Linear's terms of service

You must comply with Linear's terms of service when using LinearBar.

Updates and modifications

We may update LinearBar from time to time to add features, fix bugs, or adapt to Linear API changes. We may also modify these terms. Continued use of the application after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Termination

You may stop using LinearBar at any time by uninstalling the application. We may discontinue the application or restrict your access if you violate these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the United States.
