Common questions
How do I connect my calendar?
Click the Meeting Notifier icon in your menu bar and select "Add Calendar." Choose your provider (Google or Microsoft) and follow the prompts to authorize access.
Why aren't I receiving meeting notifications?
Check the following:
- Ensure Meeting Notifier has notification permissions in System Settings > Notifications
- Verify your calendar is connected and authorized
- Check your notification timing preferences within the app
Is my calendar password stored?
No. Meeting Notifier uses OAuth 2.0 authentication. You sign in directly with Google or Microsoft, and we never see your password. Only secure tokens are stored in your Mac's Keychain.
Can I connect multiple calendars?
Yes, you can connect multiple Google and Microsoft calendars. Add each account through the settings menu.
How do I customize notification timing?
Go to Meeting Notifier settings and adjust when you'd like to be notified before meetings (e.g., 5 minutes, 10 minutes, etc.).
Can I click to join video meetings?
Yes, Meeting Notifier detects video meeting links (Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, etc.) and provides a quick-join button in notifications.
How do I disconnect a calendar?
Go to Meeting Notifier settings, select the account, and click "Remove." You can also revoke access from your Google or Microsoft account security settings.
