Privacy Policy
LinkDropdown
Overview
LinkDropdown is a macOS menu bar application that provides quick access to your frequently used links. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how LinkDropdown handles your data.
Data collection
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data to our servers.
LinkDropdown operates entirely on your local machine. All data processed by the application remains on your device.
How LinkDropdown works
LinkDropdown stores and organizes links that you add manually. The application:
- Stores your links and folders locally on your Mac
- Opens links in your default browser when clicked
- Processes all data locally without sending anything to Strategic Nerds servers
Data storage
All your links and organizational data is stored locally on your Mac. This includes:
- Link URLs and titles
- Folder structure and organization
- Application preferences and settings
We have no access to this data.
No network activity
LinkDropdown does not make any network requests to Strategic Nerds servers. The only network activity occurs when you click a link, which opens in your default browser.
Analytics and crash reporting
LinkDropdown does not currently include any analytics or crash reporting. If we add these features in the future, we will update this policy and notify users.
Your control
You have complete control over your data:
- Delete individual links or folders within the app
- Export your links before uninstalling
- Uninstall LinkDropdown to remove all local application data
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the application or our website.
